Lance Armstrong Determined to Win his Eighth Tour De France Title
The living legend in cycling Lance Armstrong is setting his sight on nailing his 8th Tour De France victory this year. The strong and mighty Armstrong who already collected a world record seven titles in this prestigious event is also seeing action in the Tour Down Under which is slated this January 17 to 24 in Australia this year. Armstrong is now training in Hawaii as he said in an interview with AP, “There will be definitely more emphasis on the race from me, but that will probably consistent throughout the year.” An indication that Armstrong is in an all out effort to perform well in France once again. Armstrong finished a dismal 29th place in the last year’s edition of the Tour Down Under, but is expected to figure well in this year’s race. Armstrong and his teammate Gert Steegnans, a noted Belgian sprinter are expected to spearhead the campaign of his new tam, RadioShack Race Team. Armstrong will be one of the main attraction of the tour alongside Cadel Evans, Australia’s rising star in cycling and the reigning world race champion.
