Why Floyd Mayweather is Afraid of Manny Pacquiao

The flamboyant and acerbic Floyd Mayweather Jr., is always toppling any possible bout the Filipino ring sensation Manny Pacquiao. Though Mayweather is the current pound-for-pound king in the planet many boxing kibitzers. Aficionados and fans he is not deserving of the accolade bestowed to him. In many occasions he avoided colliding with future hall of famer Pacquiao, who is a seven-time world boxing champion in seven weight divisions the most and prolific in the sports.

Mayweather even stooped so low in dragging Pacquiao down to earth by unleashing series of unfounded allegations about anabolic steroids abuse, which is bias on his part. Pacquiao earlier slapped and filed a lawsuit against Mayweather.

Instead of facing Pacquiao in a no holds barred and mano y mano action in the ring and heading to the popular clamor of the people for a possible match he played it safe as he pitted himself with an aging grizzled warrior in Shane Mosley.

With obvious distinct advantage on his side, Mayweather outlasted and outclassed his compatriot on his last bout to get back into the thick of things and hug the limelight once again after many months of semi-retirement.

Mayweather wittingly escaped a clean slate and the question of who is really the current boxing kingpin is still hanging in the balance, no thanks to the cowardice shown he has shown for the past many months.

Here are some reasons why Mayweather is scared of the Filipino ring hero.

  • Mayweather has nothing to gain, even if he wins, he is thus far the bigger and heftier of the two. Prevailing over Pacquiao will just merit and cement his status further as the top boxing persona. A bitter loss forever, will wipe out the status and reputation he had built for the past several years.
  • He has a clean win-loss slate to boasts and proud of, and a possible match and a loss to Pacquiao will ruin all the hardwork he have had whipped out. Moreover a bitter loss will tarnish his reputation and will definitely pull him down from the echelons of boxing greats to the pit of disaster.
  • Pacquiao is a dangerous and a consummate boxer. He is fast, agile, smart, punch hard, skilful and plays with all sheer courage and with all of his heart.
  • Pacquiao is persevering, he can endure tedious and backbreaking training regimen at any given time. Mayweather cannot equal Pacquiao on this category.
  • With clever Freddie Roach manning the mentoring job on the coaching camp of Pacquiao, no doubt the Filipino pug has the edge even the bell hasn’t sounded yet.
  • Mayweather is ultra rich since he is not only a great boxer but a great businessman too. Even the bout with Pacquiao will net him more millions on his stock what is at stake on the bout are just to great to get enticed in.
  • Alas, in plain words, Mayweather is maybe too scared of the Filipino fella because he doesn’t wanted to get pummeled in the boxing ring. Pacquiao already smothered great names in boxing such as Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Dela Hoya, Diaz, and Cotto, and it is obvious that he doesn’t want to be the latest addition in the list.
