Probable Manny Pacquiao Next Opponent Edwin Valerio Committed Suicide

One of the most feared and exciting  boxer in the planet, Venezuelan Edwin Valerio committed suicide while in jail for allegedly killing his wife. He was last seen hanging on his own clothes, which give speculations that, the death of Valerio was not suicide.

Known for his slam-bang action, brute force and ferocity in the ring, Valerio was being groomed as the next fighter that Manny faces which could’ve been a treat to all boxing pundits and aficionados worldwide.

Holding an impressive record of 27 wins and with no loss, the Venezuelan pug was the likely opponent for the Filipino champion and world welterweight champion Pacquiao.

“He was a sensational fighter, sensational,” Bob Arum said as he continued, “He was just electric. A complete crowd-pleasing style… I was grooming him as a great future opponent for Manny Pacquiao. That would have been a sensational fight.

The 28-year old Valerio is the current World Boxing Lightweight holder and was just recently been declared as “champion in recess,” after being jailed in March for mistreating his wife and was on a treatment for alcohol abuse.

The Philippine Sportswriters Association of the Philippines selected Manny Pacquiao as a a hands down winner choice as Athlete of the Decade. The Reigning pound-for-pound boxer in the world, Pacquiao was named as PSA Athlete of the Year five times this decade, having won the coveted plum from 2002 to 2004, in 2006 and 2008. Last year Pacquiao was enshrined to the Hall of Fame in the same award giving body in the Philippines.
