Samsung Electronics Main Sponsor of Singapore Youth Olympics

Its all systems go for Singapore as host of Youth Olympics and even gets a boosts even as Samsung expressed their desires to sponsor the extravaganza that will showcase vigor and strength of today’s youngsters. Samsung Electronics will be one of the sponsor of the inaugural Games which is slated this August 14 to 26, 2010. The sponsorship deal dished out by Samsung includes giving over 5,000 sets of Samsung Omnia LITE (B7300) mobile phones to athletes and selected team officials.

Each unit contains the “Digital Concierge for Singapore 2010,” application that provides users to gain Games-related content and services.

Samsung Asia President and CEO Gregory Lee said, “Samsung is giving its full support in making the Youth Olympic Games an unprecedented success in Singapore’s sporting history.”

Over 5,000 athletes will participate in the coming Games which are aged between 14 to 18 years old competing in 26 sporting events. Officials from 205 national Olympic Committees will accompany these youths. Singapore Youth Olympics is expected to highlight great athletes from all over the world and cinched to provide drama and excitement.
